The Ivy Montpellier Brasserie located in the historic Montpellier Rotunda, Cheltenham offers relaxed and sophisticated all day modern British dining and international classics. A great place to eat and visit.
When I visit a location on request from a client, I prefer not to know any history as it just puts pre-loaded thoughts in your head, instead of using my abilities as a Medium. As with a lot of my local visits I already know the history and tails of ghosts etc, so I just pop along to see what I can feel and sense.
The Montpellier Rotunda is meant to be haunted, with reports once linked to its past as a department store, with staff reported whispers, footsteps and unexplained cold spots, and the occasional appearance of a Lady in period attire.
My Visit
On my visit in April 2026, I popped in one evening for food and a look around and can say there are spiritual things going on. I first heard a old fashioned cash register with its well known sound of the draw being opened, it was like the Television series “Open All Hours” and it did make me smile. It was difficult to hear any other sounds that were not already in the restaurant. I could feel that I was being watched, I am quite often not wanted on a visit, especially from darker entries. I could also feel both residual and intelligent energies throughout the building and there was something hiding from me.
It would be good to return here again, when the place is a bit less busy and noisy and see what else I could pick up on.
